About the Role

The Senior Therapeutic Residential Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Therapeutic Youth Residential Care, which involves working in line with the Service Model to engage with young people with a transformational, therapeutic and strengths-based approach, within a trauma informed practice.

We're currently looking for a committed Senior Therapeutic Residential Coordinator for our Youth Residential Care. 

This full-time permanent role near Elizabeth involves employing a transformational, therapeutic, trauma-informed approach, aligned with our Service Model.

The Senior Coordinator will:

• Collaborate with DCP and stakeholders for youth care and case management.
• Manage resources, including rostering for efficient operations.
• Assist the Therapeutic Specialist and Youth Workers in supporting young individuals to achieve their goals.
• Foster a positive environment for facilitating constructive change among the youth.
• Handle conflict resolution through a conciliation process, escalating matters as needed.
• Oversee the site's overall functionality, involving reporting, maintenance, and financial records.
• Identify and align key skills within the team to meet our young people's expectations.

About You

• Bachelor Degree in relevant field, such as Psychology, Social Work, OT or Developmental Trauma, equivalent qualifications or working towards with significant experience.
• Able to provide supervision, coaching, mentoring and development of staff, including supervision of students
• Be able to lead and facilitate team meetings to share best practice and achieve agreed outcomes
• Willing to undergo a Psychological assessment prior to commencing
• Maintenance of an unrestricted South Australian Driver’s licence
