Join our team as a Registered Nurse at New ROADS, taking a pivotal role in providing high-level medical and pharmacological support. Collaborate with a dedicated team of Counsellor/Case Managers and Case Workers to address problematic substance use and deliver comprehensive care within the outpatient withdrawal setting.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Work within the New ROADS team to provide an integrated and comprehensive treatment model to support individuals and their families to address problematic use of alcohol or other drugs
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to the client group through outpatient withdrawal.
  • Conduct assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the client’s care
  • Provide support and assistance to the GP and implement GP care instructions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of medical program procedures in conjunction with Service Manager, Senior Coordinator and GP

This is a Permanent Part Time Position (0.8) to Full Time depending on applicant requirements.

Hours will be clinic based, 9AM-5PM.

About You

You will bring the following to this position;

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Experience in providing AOD and general health education
  • Trained in providing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment and referrals
  • Ability to maintain and update client medical records utilising designated practice software
  • Assessing, planning, implementation and evaluations of the client’s care plans
  • Ability to advocate and consult on AOD health and related issues within the sector

There will be a requirement to facilitate groups and individual consultations, using nursing knowledge and the physical, social and emotional factors that impact on substance dependency.

AOD experience & qualifications will be highly regarded.
