As part of Uniting’s commitment to increasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment within its workforce, we strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidates or candidates with a demonstrated experience working within diverse and inclusive workplaces, particularly supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.

We also recognise the migrant experience is different for people of colour, who experience structural racism at every step of the process. Similarly, people of colour who are citizens on this continent experience vilification, criminalisation and harassment compared to white people. We aim to be representative of the communities we work with. Therefore, we also encourage people from culturally diverse or migrant communities with lived experience of the issue at hand to apply.
