About the role:

Join our Data Services & Strategy team where we're committed to driving efficiency and innovation through data-driven solutions. As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring seamless integration of business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business process models, integration points, and areas for improvement.
  • Create detailed technical requirements documentation for handover to the data engineering team.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Data Services & Strategy team.
  • Utilise PowerBI, SQL, and analytics skills throughout project stages.
  • Consult with internal customers through workshops and presentations.
  • Capture, document, and interpret business requirements using analytical skills.
  • Participate in the selection process for new solutions and define selection criteria.
  • Develop "to be" business process maps and identify areas for optimisation.
  • Work closely with developers and testers during project build and test phases.
  • Develop business scenarios and test scripts for system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Support project team with testing activities and issue resolution.
  • Provide post go-live issue resolution support to customers.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
  • Develop standard processes to support project evaluation aligned with organisational strategy.
  • Contribute to change management and communication activities.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate solution internalisation and benefit realisation.

Qualifications:

  • Suitable tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/IT or relevant professional experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years' experience as a Process Analyst/Business Analyst/Functional Consultant.
  • Experience in Agile implementations.
  • Strong functional leadership and industry best practice experience.
  • Proven analytical and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to set priorities, plan and organise – you are highly structured with an eye for detail and take pride in "on-time, every-time" delivery
  • Ability to work flexibly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Understanding of project delivery & acceptance processes, preferably in Health or Aged Care.
  • Proficiency in analytic tools such as PowerBI, SQL, spreadsheets, flow-charting, and process diagramming.
  • Proficiency in developing simplified process maps and business requirements.
  • Experience in simplifying complex concepts.
  • High level of competence with the standard Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Experience documenting business requirements, developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Aged Care business process and Human Resource systems.
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector.
