Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to play a pivotal role in optimising our core Finance and Billing management processes. Leverage your deep expertise to drive efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery across the organisation.

Acting as a critical link between business and technology teams, you will support the successful transition to future-state systems, particularly within the scope of finance, customer experience, and billing. You’ll be a self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for solving complex problems in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of the project delivery team, you will:

  • Business Process Documentation: Define and document future-state business processes to support the Billing program.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, prioritise and document business requirements relating to customer experience and billing.
  • Process Analysis & Data Mapping: Analyse current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements aligned to the capabilities of new billing systems. Support detailed definition of use cases, interfaces, data flows, and transformation rules.
  • Solution Validation: Collaborate with functional consultants to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives. Evaluate technical requirements and API usage. Build cost-benefit comparisons for solution options.
  • Testing Coordination: Plan and coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing, to confirm that implemented solutions meet business needs.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of project scope, processes, and impacts. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, and support development of mitigation strategies.
  • Change Management Support: Partner with the change management team to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Contribute to team rhythms and provide progress updates through established forums.

Qualifications and Experience

Typically, this role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Strategy Consultant or Technical Analyst, with a focus on customer experience, billing and finance systems with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven ability to apply BPMN 2.0 methodologies using a range of tools.
  • Experience in full lifecycle ERP or Finance system implementations, particularly with customer and billing systems such as Epicor or similar.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and billing in aged care, including regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and high attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation programs.

Desirable

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in a related field.
  • Experience in the aged care sector.
  • Payroll system knowledge.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level project delivery.
  • Experience with data flow mapping and integration design.
  • Leadership experience or project coordination capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of BPMN 2.0 tools.
