In this challenging and rewarding position, the Pastoral Practitioner, in liaison with the Chaplaincy Convenor, is responsible for the provision of professional pastoral care and support that is culturally relevant, age-appropriate and sensitive to the needs of our residents.
The successful candidate will have relevant Theological study, previous experience in Pastoral Care preferably with ageing people, and have completed a 400-hour Basic Unit in Clinical Pastoral Education (or be willing to complete this within the first six months of employment). A CPE-equivalent qualification will be considered.
The successful candidate will ‘walk the talk’ of professional boundaries, be comfortable with emails and documentation, and be self-aware in all relationships with residents and their families, staff, pastoral care volunteers, and pastoral care colleagues.

Salary is commensurate with the Uniting Church Lay Ministry Agent Guidelines, appropriate to qualifications and experience.
