About the Opportunity

  • Permanent Part-Time with a minimum of 20 hours or more per fortnight in Narara Central Coast NSW.
  • SCHADS Level 2.1 rate starting from $33.41 per hour (depending on experience), with additional penalty rates, salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 per year and superannuation.
  • Flexible to be available to work across 24 hours, 7 days per week with split shifts if needed.

About the Opportunity

Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will positively engage people with various physical and mental health and cognitive disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, and confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.

Roster

Our service operates from 24hrs per day 7 days a week. There are opportunities to pick up additional shifts up to 76 hours a fortnight.

Example of Roster: Friday 3pm to 9pm, Monday 2:30pm to 8pm, Tuesday 8am to 10am split shift 3pm to 8pm; Wednesday 2pm to 8pm, Friday 7am to 10am.

What you will be doing

  • Aiding with daily life activities at home (meal preparation, laundry and cleaning, etc)
  • Personal Care (including showering, prompting and physical support).
  • Some High personal care and manual handling.
  • Medication Administration
  • Supporting to medical appointments.
  • Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavours.
  • Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.

Who we are looking for:

  • NSW Drivers license (can be on Green P Plates), comprehensive car insurance and car registration are required for the role.
  • Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check are necessary.
  • Holding a current First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification.
  • Previous experience or qualifications in disability of young adults or aged care are desirable but not mandatory.

  • Certificate III or IV or studying towards a course in Disability, Allied Health or equivalent
