About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Uniting to support the evolution of their customer-centric Neighbourhood model while driving best practice in quality and continuous improvement. You’ll provide subject matter expertise in Home and Community Care to support regulatory compliance, effective quality assurance programs and lead new initiatives to support the implementation of sector reforms.

Duties and responsibilities:

As the In-Home Service Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancement through automation, codification, or systemisation wherever feasible.
  • Contributing actively to the development and ongoing oversight of compliance requirements.
  • Leading and setting an example through effective program, process, and system reviews
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders during the implementation of new regulations, reforms, and policy changes.
  • Identifying, documenting, and leading the development of regulatory standards, compliance frameworks, and approaches.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to address complaints and feedback effectively
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, providing specialist advice on tenders, new developments, and service opportunities.
  • Ensuring leadership teams are informed and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Monitoring and auditing accreditation and compliance performance across all operations.
  • Collaborating with various teams to streamline processes, prevent duplication, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of expertise in your field.
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of the Aged Care industry and regulatory instruments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in navigating complex organisations and building relationships.
  • Leadership qualities with interpersonal influence.
  • Customer-focused mindset for collaboration.
  • Advanced analytical skills for informed decision-making.
  • Foster strong partnerships with essential stakeholders.
