About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced casual Cert III Educator to join Uniting Harold Wheen Preschool in St Clair!

Uniting Harold Wheen Preschool is a warm and welcoming service that has spent over 30years supporting families in the community with education for preschool children! Our committed and experienced team of educators ensure the safety, education and well-being of our children. The centre works closely with St. Claire Uniting Church and open from 8am - 4pm. 

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework! 

Your work may include:

  • Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes  

Who we’re looking for

  • Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on the job experience (preferred)
  • Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
  • A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard)
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
