About the role:

As Property Development Manager you'll be focused on the application of best practice project development skills to ensure that major capital investment programs and projects are aligned with community and organisation needs, implemented within approved governance arrangements and successfully delivered within Uniting

Specifically you will be responsible for a portfolio of complex development projects which may be staged, require master planning or rezoning's. Undertake feasibility modelling and provide options and sensitivity analysis as you develop, employ, demonstrate and mentor best project management discipline. You are able to assemble high performing project teams for the successful delivery of all elements of the property development cycle, including, design, statutory approvals, procurement, construction, commissioning and sales outcomes with a focus on time, quality and budget requirements. 

Strong engagement skills are vital as you'll liaise, convene and manage a myriad of stakeholders both internal and external as you inform throughout the project lifecycle including determining and refining scope, suitable built form solutions which provide best project outcomes, financial and operational. You will ensure at all times that the business case and financial feasibility have a sound basis as you continually refine and report opportunities to mitigate risk to the organisation.

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree or Master’s Degree in a Property Development related discipline.
  • Diploma or significant project management experience 
  • Minimum 7 years Property Development Management experience.
  • Client side preferable or significant client side PM/DM experience

You are able to demonstrate successful delivery of complicated property development projects across different sections of the Property Development cycle. Have considerable experience with Vertical builds. Experience concurrently managing several projects with a minimum value of $20 million each. Rigorously follow due diligence processes and apply appropriate business cases, scenarios and models are used for all projects. Desire to contribute to a culture of openness, respect, and to contribute to the creation of a cohesive, productive and quality focussed team.

Highly desirable

  • Post graduate qualification in Property development, Project management, quantity Surveying and Architecture 
  • Aged care and Retirement living experience
