We are seeking a part-time contract Educator Cook (50 hours a fortnight) to join Uniting Grantham Heights Early Learning Seven Hills until December 2024!

  • Base hourly rate up to $28.18 (depending on experience) + Super + Salary Packaging benefits
  • Pay less tax - maximum amount of not-for-profit (NFP) salary packaging available up to $18,550
  • Five (5) hours per day, mostly from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, and it may vary depending on the need

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Cook, you will be planning nutritious, well-presented, and appropriate meals & snacks for children (0-5 years) whilst adhering to food handling and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring various dietary requirements and allergies are accounted for. You will also be responsible for stock control and ordering.

Who we’re looking for

  • Food Handling Certificate (essential)
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (Desirable but not required)
  • Preferred Experience in meal preparation for the Early Child Care setting.
  • Flexibility required for all areas (E.g. Menu adjustments and work hours)
  • A team-player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management

Uniting Grantham Heights Early Learning Seven Hills supports families with education and childcare, including a preschool program and our innovative Bush Kindy. We are open long hours for children from three to five years.

Housed within the grounds of the Grantham Heights Uniting Church, our service offers bright, colourful, and welcoming indoor learning spaces and stimulating outdoor environments that are designed to engage and inspire.
