Uniting is seeking a dynamic Clinical Leadership and Capability Lead to lead the development of clinical capability and professional practice across our services.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Nursing and Clinical Governance within the Customer, Risk, and Governance (CRG) Directorate, this role is pivotal in shaping the clinical leadership and education landscape within Uniting. You will design and implement a comprehensive Clinical Leadership and Capability Framework, ensuring our teams are skilled, confident, and ready to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Uniting’s Clinical Leadership and Capability Framework.
- Collaborate with People and Culture’s Learning and Development team to enhance professional practice.
- Develop and implement a clinical competency skill framework using evidence-based tools.
- Conduct training needs analysis across Seniors and Communities, creating an annual training calendar.
- Design, standardise, and maintain high-quality, evidence-based training materials.
- Oversee the New Graduate Nurse program, ensuring effective recruitment, support, and retention.
- Standardise induction and orientation for clinical staff, including agency or contract staff.
- Leverage industry partnerships to optimise clinical capability development.
- Collaborate with external providers to ensure Uniting maximises the benefits of clinical agreements.
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration with no conditions or limitations.
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant clinical area and a postgraduate qualification in education, with management and leadership experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Health or Aged Care sector.
- Deep understanding of the aged care industry, its regulations, and funding landscape.
- Proven experience in designing, delivering, and implementing clinical education and training programs.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships.
- Proficiency in eLearning content creation, ideally in partnership with Learning and Development teams.
- Strong project management skills and data interpretation ability.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
