At Uniting, we believe in the power of change to protect what matters most – the people and communities we serve. As we strengthen our focus on data protection and cybersecurity, we’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Change Manager to help us navigate this critical transformation.

About the opportunity

This is a key role in a strategic, multi-year cybersecurity program focused on safeguarding personal and sensitive data across Uniting’s diverse services.

Working within our Transformation team and closely with our Cybersecurity, Technology, and Risk teams, you’ll lead the end-to-end change management approach for program initiatives—from discovery through to adoption.

You'll ensure change is not only implemented but embraced—building understanding, confidence and capability across teams, while maintaining trust and continuity of care in our services.

As Change Manager you will:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive change strategies and plans across multiple cybersecurity initiatives – with a strong focus on our enterprise-wide data protection initiative
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and change impact assessments across corporate and frontline environments
  • Design and implement communication, training, and readiness activities to support sustainable adoption
  • Deliver clear, consistent and high-quality change documentation to support each stage of the change lifecycle
  • Measure and monitor change outcomes, refining approaches to ensure effectiveness
  • Support the uplift of internal change capability and promote a culture of security-conscious behaviour
  • Collaborate with project managers, cybersecurity specialists, and business leaders to align change outcomes with strategic goals

About you

  • You’re an experienced Change Manager who thrives in complex environments and understands the human side of digital and security change.
  • You’re pragmatic, collaborative, and driven to make a difference.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end change management for large-scale programs
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or technology-related transformation programs
  • Strong change delivery skills with a focus on structure, consistency and documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with executive-level audiences
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into accessible, engaging messaging for diverse audiences
  • Prosci or equivalent change management certification (required)
  • Experience working in values-driven or community-based organisations is highly regarded
