Your role

We’re looking for a skilled Asset Coordinator to lead and manage property and maintenance services across 11 Uniting sites in the Hunter region, covering locations from Caves Beach to Salamander Bay, and as far west as Singleton.

You'll lead a team of 6 Maintenance Officers and ensure our property assets, plant, and equipment are maintained to a high standard—supporting safe, sustainable and homelike environments for the people we serve. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading day-to-day maintenance operations across 11 sites, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed safely, on time and within budget
• Supporting and developing a team of 6 Maintenance Officers, providing guidance, coaching and clear direction
• Managing compliance with building regulations, WHS standards and internal policies
• Overseeing room refurbishments and minor works projects, ensuring quality delivery
• Building strong relationships with contractors, service managers and residents
• Ensuring lifecycle planning, asset performance, and sustainability targets are met
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the Property & Housing team

About you

You’re an experienced and proactive leader with a background in facilities or asset management, ideally across multi-site portfolios. You bring a blend of technical know-how, people leadership and a passion for maintaining high-quality environments for residents and clients.

We’re looking for:

• A trade, engineering or facility management qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong leadership skills – you’ve led teams before and know how to bring people together
• A sound understanding of WHS, building codes, and maintenance standards
• Experience managing contractors and internal stakeholders
• A current driver's licence and ability to travel regularly between sites

Bonus points for:

• Experience in aged care, health or community housing
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and lifecycle asset management
