RIC is a specialist team dedicated to enabling the University's research and enterprise mission working closely with our academics, professional colleagues, industry partners, funding agencies and government agencies.  We have a passion to see our academics and their collaboration partners succeed, achieve research excellence and translate their discoveries into real-world innovation and impact.  RIC operates University-wide across all ten Academic Divisions and Chancellery. 

About the role

As the Research Due Diligence Officer, you will promote practices to ensure the appropriate consideration of risks related to research partners. You will assess and provide advice on the management of, integrity, governance, social responsibility, political and security risks, with a focus on ensuring that research activities and collaborations support the University’s reputational standing.

About you

You will have experience in interpreting, applying and developing policies or procedures within a large, complex organisation. Your ability to assess the quality and credibility of information, and to communicate those assessments logically and transparently will have you succeeding in this role.

You will further have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in undertaking research tasks, and in particular the ability to gather, interpret and effectively summarise and communicate complex information.
  • Capacity to understand and communicate specialist and complex information to people from a range of backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to prioritise individual workload and act effectively to complete set tasks in order to meet agreed service level timeframes. to deliver
