Melbourne Bioinformatics operates at the Parkville Campus of The University of Melbourne. Its experts support researchers with research design, grant applications, advise on computing options, engage in research collaborations, develop bioinformatics algorithms and software, create and deliver both online and hands-on bioinformatics training, delivers the MSc (Bioinformatics) course, and supervise PhD students.
Melbourne Bioinformatics is seeking a talented Communications Officer to deliver high quality communications for internal and external stakeholders and partners across a variety of platforms and audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your up-to-date knowledge and deft experience with implementing social media, digital communications and emerging channels to help bring Melbourne Bioinformatics to those researchers and organisations whose work would benefit from our expertise, particularly in research collaborations.
You will be an excellent writer and content creator with the ability to create engaging content for a range of audiences and channels. You will possess strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement. You will demonstrate well-developed organisational and planning skills including the ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks.
