What we are looking for
Join UNICEF Australia as a Senior Management Accountant, reporting to Head of Corporate Planning & Performance where you will oversee the capacity building and financial planning & analysis, of UNICEF Australia’s International and Domestic programs.
Your day will include
- Support the Head of Corporate Planning & Performance and Director of Finance in crafting and overseeing annual budgets and strategic plan financial commitments
- Generate financial reports using our core financial and BI systems, including Sage Intacct, Salesforce, & CRM Analytics
- Compile UNICEF Australia’s Monthly Executive team and Senior Leadership team financial reporting packs, incorporating financial statements, key performance indicators, budget comparisons, trend analysis, and external benchmarking
- Monitor, manage, and report on UNICEF grant funding finances
- Collaborate closely with UNICEF Australia's Fundraising teams, offering financial guidance and enhancing their financial acumen to enhance data-driven decision-making
- Engage cross-functionally with Finance and Business Solutions teams to facilitate the creation of new financial dashboards and upkeep of existing reporting
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or other relevant area of study, or equivalent working experience and qualified accountant with ongoing professional membership
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong Presentation and Financial modelling skills
- Excellent proficiency in Excel
- Experience of medium sized ERP/CRM/BI solutions with Sage Intacct / Salesforce and Tableau CRM is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and
- confidently at all levels
- Able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
