What we are looking for

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Paid Media Manager, reporting to the Head of Performance, Growth & Insights, to lead the development and execution of our media strategy, overseeing the performance of both digital and offline campaigns. Working closely with various teams and agency partners, you'll optimise media investment for maximum impact.

Your day will include

  • Lead the annual media strategy & planning process by collaborating with internal stakeholders to shape clear briefing documents and ensure audience and objective-led recommendations
  • Implement best practices and principle-led planning methodologies to optimise campaign performance
  • Support the annual budget planning process, setting clear targets and aligning media strategies with organisational goals
  • Facilitate agency and internal processes to ensure smooth deployment, execution, and performance tracking of campaigns, from briefing to results
  • Develop comprehensive campaign plans across all channels, including online and offline media and direct response TV
  • Create measurement/tracking plans to ensure effective tracking of campaign effectiveness
  • Review and enhance brand safety/suitability tools and settings to maintain campaign integrity
  • Track and manage media budgets effectively and efficiently to maximise ROI
  • Support UNICEF Australia’s humanitarian emergency response efforts
  • Optimise ongoing media planning and buying activities for continued effectiveness
  • Develop and implement media strategy to achieve organisational objectives

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or other relevant area of study, or equivalent working experience
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in media planning, strategy, experience across digital and offline
  • Hands-on experience with campaign management and measurement tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads)
  • Strong familiarity with the Australian media landscape
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications and established planning principles
  • Proficient in articulating and delivering media strategy/recommendations to senior management, with demonstrated presentation and writing skills
  • Strong industry relationships with online and offline media owners/partners.
