What we are looking for

Join UNICEF Australia as Head of Brand and Campaigns, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer, and lead the planning, delivery and execution of our brand strategy for 2024, building awareness of UNICEF as the world’s largest organisation working to protect children, no matter what. By building our brand profile through owned and paid media and sector-leading campaigns you will enable a more proactive and audience-focused approach to our communications from ideation through to review.

Your day will include

  • Cultivate a culture of cross-organisational collaboration, establishing a centre of excellence to elevate brand visibility through owned, earned, and paid media
  • Drive engagement with current ambassadors and facilitate onboarding of new ambassadors, maximizing UNICEF Australia's fundraising, brand, and program objectives
  • Lead brand partnership relationships with social media platforms and Government departments, unlocking collaborative campaign opportunities
  • Collaborate with external agencies to develop creative propositions, brand strategies, and media planning
  • Oversee the planning and execution of paid media for brand campaigns, establishing targets, measurements, and optimising financial investments
  • Collaborate with business units, understanding their requirements and developing plans to support them.
  • Lead and empower the Brand and Campaigns team, embodying UNICEF Australia 's values
  • Manage the team's expenditure budget, providing insights and seeking contra support for brand initiatives when possible

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Brand or Communications or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum 8 years’ experience leading brand and content strategy
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, enhancing the capabilities of direct reports
  • In-depth understanding of digital media and successful implementation of digital brand campaigns
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital media and experience deploying successful digital brand campaigns
  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship management and use of influencers, as appropriate to the Ambassador strategy
  • Interest in or understanding of international development issues, world affairs, current events
  • Experience in providing strategic advice to executives on brand and marketing priorities
  • Experience developing and using content digitally to achieve brand outcomes
  • Adaptability to work during emergencies
