What we are looking for

UNICEF Australia is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to join the Marketing Acquisition team. The role will report to the Marketing Manager - Acquisition, as part of the broader Individual Giving department. The Designer will craft compelling visual assets for diverse digital, print and out of home media, across owned and paid channels. Collaborating closely with marketing strategists, the content and social media teams, and external media agencies, this role is vital in our efforts to acquire new donors, whilst also offering design support to various departments within the organisation.

Your day will include

  • Engage with the Acquisition team to craft creative assets across various digital and out-of-home channels, bolstering UNICEF Australia’s campaigns and initiatives
  • Advise on visual messaging hierarchies and employ best practices in strategic visual communication
  • Coordinate with media agencies to develop assets tailored to specific channels.
  • Forge a close partnership with the Loyalty (Retention and Supporter Experience) team to produce premium print assets
  • Collaborate with partners (such as Vivendi, The Wiggles, and QANTAS) to create creative assets aligned with external brand guidelines
  • Work alongside the Brand team and the Brand Graphic Designer to ensure brand consistency and design cohesion across all visual communications
  • Oversee and organise design files and documents according to naming conventions and project-based folders

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in graphic design, digital communications, marketing or other relevant area of study, or equivalent working experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience developing visual assets for communications and marketing pieces with specific brand engagement and advocacy calls to action
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Figma and Canva
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project experience, from ideation to implementation
  • Strong attention to detail, experience in multi-tasking and prioritisation
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and problem-solving Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders through a collaborative approach and style
  • Basic skills in animation and/or video-editing are not essential but would be valuable
  • Knowledge of social media trends
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human rights, international development and world affairs
