The UNICEF Australia team are looking for Digitisation Volunteers to assist with much needed administrative support for our transition from a paper to electronic workspace. You will be invaluable in helping UNICEF Australia become a greener and more effective organisation through strengthening our digital record keeping.

There are multiple roles available as different teams have different storage preferences and requirements. We would like our volunteers to have an interest area in the department they work with so they can support their nominated team in more ways and gain valuable career experience.

Volunteer responsibilities:

• Collect and divide documents into what needs to be digitised, archived or recycled and action appropriately
• For digitised records, save them in the appropriate location in the file hierarchy on our shared drive
• Organise the shared drive to remove duplicates and unwanted documents, optimise the file hierarchy and make files easier to find
• Help transition documents from the shared drive to Sharepoint
• Assist other teams’ digitisation plans if needed

Selection Criteria:

• Preferably studying degree or planning a career in a field relevant to nominated team
• Comfortable with working autonomously
• Printer and Computer literate
• Organisational skills
• Experience in office environments
• Willingness to dedicate between 1-3 days per week volunteering over the next 2-3 months
