The position is primarily a program and office-based position (North Melbourne) and there is only a very limited work from home component to this role.

Hours and requirements

This is a permanent part-time position of 2 days per week (15.2 hours per week).

Duties

  • Homework Club: Assisting the Primary School aged Homework Club. Working directly with children, staff and volunteers on the programs on Monday (Grade 3-6) and Wednesday (Prep -Grade 2).
  • Food Program: Helping to physically pack and load food materials/bags. Preparing the food bags, sorting food stock and advising of the stock levels of food items. Working with partner organisations and the local community to understand their food needs and requirements.
  • Young Women's Program (as appropriate): Assisting the Young Women’s Program (aged 15 – 25). Working directly with young people, staff and volunteers. Keeping records of attendance and monitoring progress over time. Assisting staff with lesson planning/preparation, program activities and end of session review Additional duties, as required.
