The Wilderness Society is a grassroots environmental not for profit organisation, building a people-powered movement to protect and restore Australia's pristine natural places. The Position:

Join our small, dynamic team and engage with people from all walks of life at street, shopping centre, and event locations across Naarm/Melbourne. You will discuss pressing environmental issues and inspire people to join the movement by committing to ongoing support and funding. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of our planet.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Be:

A confident communicator, passionate about nature and driven to make a positive impact. You love engaging with people and can find common ground with almost anyone, making conversations natural and effective. You can talk to anyone, anywhere, building relationships and trust effortlessly.

You believe in the importance of building and maintaining relationships. You are authentic and genuine. Resilient and with a high tolerance for rejection, you persist despite setbacks, ensuring successful outcomes.

You must also be:

• Over 18 years old
• Able to commit to a minimum of 3 full days each week
• An Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of a valid working visa

What We Offer Our Face To Face Fundraisers:

• A great starting wage of $32.35 per hour with added performance bonuses
• Flexible hours (Minimum of 18 hours per week during weekdays, with additional weekend work available occasionally)
