ABOUT THE ROLE

In order to protect nature, we must change the industries driving its destruction. As a Corporate Campaigner with the Wilderness Society, your work is all about challenging the status quo of industries responsible for nature destruction, and pressuring them to clean up their act. Whether the focus is deforestation, fossil fuels or destructive finance, your role will be to work collaboratively to develop and implement strategic systems change campaign plans to influence corporations. You’ll spend your time lobbying decision-makers, engaging with alliances, advancing research, developing and delivering communications, and motivating supporters to build community power. Through this work, you’ll be helping shift key companies to be on the side of nature protection, not destruction.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a strategic and purpose-driven campaigner with around four years’ experience in advocacy, campaigns or related roles, and you're deeply committed to protecting nature and challenging destructive systems. You have a solid grasp of campaign strategy, power dynamics, and systems change, with a keen interest in influencing corporate actors. Whether it's developing tactics, lobbying decision-makers, contributing to strategy, or delivering on-the-ground outcomes, you bring strong project management skills, good organisation, and the ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’re a strong communicator—confident in your written and verbal skills, collaborative across teams, and able to engage a wide range of stakeholders. You bring solid research and analytical capabilities, and you’re able to identify opportunities for impact. You're committed to campaign success and excited to work for a future that does not rely on the continued destruction of nature and our climate but rather flourishes because of our responsible stewardship of these core life support systems.
