Salvos Stores are seeking a Full-Time Permanent Transport Allocator located in Noble Park.

The primary responsibility of the role is to maximise the efficiency of all truck movements and the associated goods distributions, pick ups, home collections and waste collections.

Responsibilities include:

  • Investigate, strategise and plan for the optimal daily usage of all trucks and optimal servicing of stores and donors;
  • Accommodate new stores and services into the Run capacity of the truck fleet as requested.
  • Maintain and update standard tasks in runs & schedules as required;
  • Change routings to accommodate emergency and other ad-hoc changes to daily runs as required;
  • Create runs that maintain the benchmarks for pick-ups, drop offs and deliveries for each of the Trucks in the fleet.

About You

Previous experience in a similar industry, while highly regarded, is not essential.  What is essential is your ability to deliver outstanding results in a complex and rewarding logistics.  You will be a high energy, hands-on individual and will bring your proven track record in providing extraordinary customer service to the role. Importantly, as someone known for your integrity, you will also be comfortable aligning to The Salvation Army Mission and Values to positively support and impact the lives of others through your career contribution.

You will be an outstanding written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills.  Solid technical skills and experience using Workday HCM system experience, highly regarded.
