About the role

Are you passionate about supporting your community?

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our friendly team at Dandenong. You will be responsible to provide a welcoming experience for all visitors, responding to incoming calls, scheduling appointments, as well as performing a comprehensive range of administrative support to the team.

Duties

  • Establish effective work relationships with Corps Officers, key staff, managers, and other stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Maintain regular communication with all team members
  • Answer phones in a professional and calm manner, book, schedule and maintain appointments of clients with Doorways services
  • Distribute financial support cards and emergency food parcels as required
  • Ensure all Doorways clients are triaged and guided to the appropriate area for further support

This is fixed term part-time position, 3 months with the possible of extension (30 hrs per week), 9am-3:30pm, based in Dandenong, VIC. Salary and conditions for this role are in line with the SCHADS Level 2 Award.

You will have

  • A Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • The ability to deal with challenging behaviours with equanimity
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable and great team player
  • Previous administrative support experience including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to use technology and software applications such as SAMIS, SolvSafety, Workday and Kronos is desirable
  • The ability to speak Farsi or Dari language is desirable
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Have a valid Employee Working with Children's Check
