The role you could play

We are seeking a dedicated LGBTIQA+ Specialist! You will provide specialist LGBTIQA+ diversity and inclusion expertise and leadership within Social Mission and Community Engagement Departments. Additionally, you will participate in the planning and implementation of a variety of programs and projects. This role is instrumental to the enhancement of genuine inclusion of LGBTIQA+ people in service delivery.

Duties

  • Design a LGBTIQ+ Service delivery model and workplan, that incorporates LGBTIQA+ clients, community, staff and volunteers
  • Develop a thorough framework for support of LGBTIQ+ people engaged with the organisation
  • Stay informed about policy, changes and trends and impacts of these on SMCE service delivery to the LGBTIQA+ community
  • Evaluate organisation partnerships to ensure connection to key organisations and stakeholders
  • Contribute to management of project budgets and ensure all targets are met
  • Contribute to other projects within the team and across TSA aimed at improving service quality from a LGBTIQA+ perspective.

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Blackburn, VIC.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field OR
  • Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment including in leading and supervising staff
  • Valid Employee Working with Children's Check
