The Collaroy Centre is looking to bring on board Casual Kitchen Hand to support the catering operations on site!

Owned by The Salvation Army, our mission is to impact lives by growing and valuing people. As well as hosting school camps, conferences, and retreats, we also seek to assist the needy by running and investing in mission programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the cleanliness of all catering related equipment and flatware including washing dishes and general kitchen cleaning (sweeping and mopping floors etc.)

Shifts: availability 7 days per week, shifts are generally 7am-3pm or 5pm to approx. 8pm

Typical duties include:

  • Back of House Kitchen Cleanliness - Adhere to all cleaning of food preparation areas, following food service procedures and standards to ensure smooth running of the back of house and dining room areas of The Collaroy Centre.
  • Cookery Duties - occasional chopping of vegetables and is not really a main part of the role.
  • Team Support - Participates in team activities, attends staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrates a supportive approach to other staff members, contributing to overall team effectiveness.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous kitchen hand experience is desired
  • Undertaken food hygiene training
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures​

Requirements of the role:

  • A National Criminal History Check is required

  • Working with children's check
