About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Violence Refuge Practice Lead! You will provide operational and leadership support in delivery of refuge and outreach services within the Supported Accommodation and After hours Crisis Responses Portfolio.

You will be supervised by the Team Leader to deliver high quality safe and effective family violence trauma informed approach to vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinate with Specialist Family Violence Practitioners to provide holistic case management and crisis support to clients
  • Support leadership in having oversight of refuge practice and service delivery
  • Support property management across supported accommodation sites
  • Provide secondary consultation to Specialist Family Violence Practitioners ensuring ongoing assessment is made of victim survivor's risk and needs
  • Provide specialist leadership and joint outreach opportunities to staff managing complex cases
  • Provide client focused supervision which includes reflective practice to family violence practitioners and social work students to ensure the delivery of high quality service provision

​This is a permanent full-time position based in Coburg North, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 6 Award.

You will have

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work/Social Sciences or related fields (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading family violence practice and teams within complex service delivery contexts
  • Experience in specialist family violence and/or child wellbeing work (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated case management experience and skills
  • Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required
