The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.
The Drive 4 Life program offers young people who may be in vulnerable or disadvantaged situations the opportunity and support to fulfil the requirements for gaining their drivers licence.
The Drive for Life coordinator responsibilities include recruiting/screening suitable clients, organising driving instructor lessons, facilitating driving instruction lessons, following a structured program model, building the capacity of the program through volunteer involvement and establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders to fulfil the clients' driver's licence requirements.
This position is part-time, 30.4 hours per week maximum term to January 2022.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4.
