The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.
Our philosophy is that every person deserves dignity, respect and quality of service and that no one should be without a safe, affordable and secure home. Services are free, voluntary, accredited and delivered by professional and committed staff.
In 2020, The South Australian Housing Authority (SHA) announced significant reforms within the homelessness sector. In response to these reforms, the Toward Home Alliance was formed comprising of Aboriginal Community Services, Baptist Care SA, Lutheran Care, Mission Australia, Sonder and The Salvation Army.
Toward Home Alliance in collaboration with the South Australian Housing Authority (SAHA) has identified a need for transformational change in the way services support people affected by homelessness and have adopted an Alliance model to deliver a 'whole system' approach to achieving the objective of ending homelessness and recognises that every position within the Toward Home Alliance has a vital role to play in eliminating homelessness.
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Assertive Outreach Case Manager to provide case management support, as per the case management framework, including crisis & transitional support, to clients experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
We have multiple positions available for a casual pool of staff. These roles will be to backfill existing positions during periods of leave and as such, hours will be varied.
The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.
