About the role

We are seeking a dedicated AOD Support Worker! You will provide supervision, support and crisis intervention to participants at Bendigo Bridge Program to help maintain the functioning of the centre during & outside of business hours, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities include:

  • Protect the safety and wellbeing of all participants by monitoring and managing the dynamics of participants
  • Ensure new participants are inducted into the Bendigo Bridge Program with a positive first experience with the program
  • Respond to all resident enquiries and escalate to AOD Case Managers
  • Actively participate in daily handovers with other staff as necessary
  • Provide "hands on" practical support to participants to enhance living skills
  • Document and communicate all reportable incidences appropriately
  • Participate in group facilitation

This is a casual position based in Bendigo, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4 Award.

You will have:

  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in the application of AOD interventions
  • OR commitment to gain qualification within first 12 months of employment
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A Valid Employee Working with Children's Check
  • A Current Driver's Licence
