THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to provide efficient clerical and administration support to the Corps in order to enhance outcomes and to support the achievement of the TSA mission.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform general administration and clerical activities within the Corps, including filing (electronic and hard copy), minute taking, mail, general correspondence, processing orders, paying accounts and other ad-hoc activities.
  • Administration of Corps finances is maintained through established procedures and consistent adherence to Salvation Army financial procedures.
  • To maintain administrative and filing matters relating to Corps Events.

This position reports to the Corps Officers and is located in Aitkenvale.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a part time position, 15 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award Level 3.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Certificate in Business Administration and/or extensive experience
  • 2-3+ years administration office/practice experience working with some level of autonomy
  • Experience within a community or NFP setting would be well regarded
  • Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethic
  • Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and discretion
  • Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity Customer service focussed
  • Solid level of computer literacy in MS Office and exposure to computerised accounting systems and databases
  • Good attention to detail
  • Current Driver's Licence
