Travellers Aid service users are people with a permanent disability, temporary impairment or those with age-related mobility challenges, who require high-quality connection assistance. This high-quality connection assistance is provided by buggy, personal guidance and wheelchair assistance. In addition, Travellers Aid offers personal care assistance such as meal assistance and toileting across all relevant Travellers Aid sites.

About the role:

As a Mobility Assistant, you will be at the frontline, talking to clients, providing transport and tourism information and building a rapport as you assist them on their journey using various modes of assistance, such as buggy, power-assist wheelchair or minivan.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to remain composed under pressure, manage challenging situations with professionalism and work effectively with minimal supervision and flexibility.

You will play a vital role in making Travellers Aid a welcoming and safe environment for everyone. By offering timely support, guidance and hands-on assistance, you help travellers facing challenges feel cared for and confident on their journey.

Potential assistance may be required in the following locations: East Pakenham and Melbourne CBD
