Position Summary:

As a Speech Pathologist Level 1, you will provide speech and language pathology services to clients. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. You will report to a senior clinician who will serve as your supervisor/mentor. Additionally, you may be required to provide direction to Allied Health Assistants as needed.

Workload:

We value flexibility and strive to accommodate therapists' clinical interests and experience levels. However, as a Graduate SP, you can expect to primarily assess and provide therapy to paediatric clients, with a workload of up to 20 hours per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, provide, and report on assessments and therapy sessions
• Handle associated administrative responsibilities
• Maintain Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status with Speech Pathology Australia
• Participate in the workplace professional development program
• Contribute to ongoing Quality Improvement projects

Selection Criteria:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Masters or undergraduate degree in speech and language pathology
• Be certified or eligible for certification with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP)
• Have the right to work in Australia
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Preferably have access to a reliable car
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with children and young people
• Embrace a neurodiversity affirming approach to practice
• Display creativity and flexibility in your work
