The organisation we are representing is looking for a Director of Pharmacy, based in Hamilton.
Key duties:
- The role will report to the Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for the administration, direction and coordination of all Pharmacy procedures.
- Ensure all pharmacy procedures are carried out in accordance with the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, as well as relevant Acts, Regulations, Guidelines and the pharmaceutical code of ethics.
- Ensure that all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel are managed according to HR Policies and Guidelines.
You will have:
- Registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA, with extensive hospital pharmacy experience and post graduate pharmacy qualifications or other relevant qualifications;
- Demonstrated successful managerial and clinical experience in a hospital pharmacy, including excellent knowledge of the PBS;
- Excellent leadership skills and effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance processes and experience implementing quality improvement activities, patient safety and risk management.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of teamwork in a health service environment, including the ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
