About Us

The New Literacy Programme PL is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing education and engagement based in Australia.

We are currently developing The Nature Rules! books project - a novel initiative focused on climate change action for secondary school students and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will join a small group of researchers and a squad of expert advisers to support the development of our climate action resources. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative educational project with real-world impact. Minimum 12 hours per week, open to negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on climate change, education, and related topics
  • Collaborate with researchers and advisers to develop engaging, evidence-based materials
  • Support additional project needs as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven record of research and writing
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Interest in climate change, education, youth engagement
  • We highly value optional skills in art, graphic design, proofreading, music, law, diplomacy, or a sense of humour
