The Climate Council of Australia is Australia’s leading climate change communications organisation. They provide authoritative, expert advice to the Australian public and key decision-makers on climate change and solutions based on the most up-to-date science available. Climate Council was founded in 2013 by thousands of Australians to create a new, independent and 100% community-funded organisation in response to the abolition of the Australian Climate Commission.
Leading a small, high impact team, the Director oversees the development and execution of campaigns in a number of critical areas including clean jobs and economic transition, gas, extreme weather and international action. This includes engagement with stakeholders at all levels of government, industry and the not-for-profit sector to advance campaign objectives.
The Director, Campaigns, is also part of the Management Team and is a key contributor to the development and implementation of the Climate Council’s organisational strategy.
