Thrive Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to families living in Lithgow & the Blue Mountains. We offer two specialised programs (Targeted Early Intervention & Specialist Homelessness Service), along with a drop-in emergency relief assistance for members of the Blue Mountains community.

About the role

As a TEI Family Case Worker, you will provide tailored case management to families with children under 18 years old who are living in the Lithgow LGA. You will work collaboratively with families to develop and implement individualised case plans, with the focus on enhancing family functioning, support with improving family relationships and connections, and building capacity of families to address their own needs. Our Family Case Workers deliver a mixture of case work and community programs designed to support parents in their parenting journey by offering case work, parenting programs, and community activities.

About you

To be successful in your application, you will need:

  • Minimum requirement of a tertiary qualification in community services, or other relevant areas and at least 3 years relevant case management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing holistic case management support focusing on strengths and needs, including working collaboratively with clients to develop tailored action plans, helping them achieve their goals.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning and facilitation of evidence-based programs/group work and activities within the community.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational & problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Engage in strength-based, reflective practice with dedication and enthusiasm, demonstrating a passion for supporting families and the local community.
  • Must have a current working with children check number.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Must have National Criminal Check or will apply for one prior to commencement.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
