About us
Threadlet is how businesses will reach net zero while increasing their bottom line. Our software helps businesses manage all their electricity, gas and solar in one place.
Business solar is only 3-4% of solar installations in Australia. We’ve started with retail energy and we have big plans to roll out products to help businesses reach net-zero energy costs and net-zero emissions.
We firmly believe in reducing emissions, and that can't be done without helping businesses see the value in our product.
So we're looking for a driven sales member to join our fast-growing team. If you're someone who likes the idea of rapid learning and rapid growth while doing good, you've come to the right place.

- You’re not up for a challenge. If you’re not excited by difficult problems and work is at the bottom of your priorities, being an early hire at a startup is probably not the right move.
- You need a traditional/corporate environment and structure.
- You’re not excited about helping small businesses. The nice thing about Threadlet is you work with small and large businesses everyday to help them succeed. You’ll have way more fun if you’re passionate about helping businesses across Australia.

What you'll do
- Work closely with founders to execute outbound experiments on targeted accounts and take deals from first touch to close
- Push for continuous improvement on outreach execution, with a heavy emphasis on personalisation and messaging iteration
- Leverage email and cold calling, as well as intent signals to reach out to relevant prospects at the right time with the right message
- Qualify inbound leads based on criteria that the team has aligned on
- Set up monthly targeted volume of demos for account executives with highly targeted and relevant leads that fit our ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Document learnings to share with the broader team to improve overarching strategy
- Inform the optimisation of our sales playbook that will drive processes for the growth of the team
- Generate and leverage data in our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, that will help inform future analysis for better prospecting and personalised approaches
- Develop the skills and experience to transition to an Account Executive
- Prospecting customers using LinkedIn, Lusha, Job Boards, business/ops/procurement communities, and other tools. You can leverage our offshore team for data collection and prospecting.
- Identify the biggest, baddest pain point a lead has - we can’t sell to someone who doesn’t have any pain
- Hit monthly quotas of sourced qualified opportunities
- Note that this is an early sales hire. Commission structure will change after the first year as we learn. The goal is to get you promoted and take on more responsibility.
Who you are
- Someone who cares about making people’s lives better with more sustainable, cheaper energy.
- Outbound sales or relevant customer-facing experience, preferably in the B2B SaaS industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong understanding of technology
- Self-starter and has an ownership mentality - always striving for continuous improvement. When you see an opportunity, you jump on it and take ownership of the outcome.
- Comfortable with rejection, treating each encounter as a challenge.
- Excellent prioritisation skills; the ability to manage complex projects and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- The motivation to develop your sales acumen and a passion to accelerate your career in the sales x tech industry.
- Confident working in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for decisions that influence the direction of the company.
- You’re good at listening… so good that the elderly at a nursing home would love you. You’re good at asking the right questions, extracting pain from customers, and showing them why they need to solve it ASAP.
- You’re process-oriented. You’re going to deal with many thousands of leads and hundreds of calls.
- You’re metrics-driven. Can you work backwards from a revenue target to figure out how much outreach we need to do, discovery calls we need to make, demos we need to give, in order to hit them. Missing the mark? Where should we invest to fix our pipeline?
- You are excited about building a sales engine. There’s a little bit in place today, but lots to do. In your eyes, you view it as a pro to learn and grow, not a con.
