About the program

Emen8 is a cutting-edge digital health promotion program developed by Thorne Harbour Health in partnership with ACON, Australia’s two leading LGBTQ+ health organisations. Funded by the Australian Government, Emen8 delivers innovative and engaging content for gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM — cis and trans), with a strong focus on culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and recently arrived migrant communities.

About the role

The National Campaign Planner will lead the development and delivery of powerful, creative campaigns that speak directly to diverse GBMSM communities across Australia. Full time - 38 hours per week. 

Working in a full-time capacity, the role will also:

  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate national digital campaigns targeting GBMSM.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies, media partners, community stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ensure campaigns are culturally relevant, inclusive, and responsive to community needs.
  • Support digital content creation and distribution strategies across Emen8 platforms.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, reporting, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Contribute to strategy development and ongoing community engagement initiatives.

About you

You will have relevant qualifications and/or professional experience in social marketing, communications, public health or related fields.

You will also bring to the role:

  • Experience working with creative/media agencies in campaign development.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience with digital content promotion, including video (this role does not involve outdoor/out-of-home advertising).
  • Deep understanding of and commitment to LGBTQ+ communities, particularly people living with HIV.
  • Knowledge of current issues in HIV, BBVs, and STIs - especially those affecting CALD and migrant GBMSM.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience designing or supporting health promotion programs and campaigns.
