Thorne Harbour Health has a vacancy for a Home Care Worker to join our Community Support team, working in the central or south-eastern region of Melbourne.
The Home Care program is a key aspect of our Community Support program, based at the Positive Living Centre (PLC) in South Yarra. The PLC provides a range of health and wellbeing related programs for people living with HIV.
As a Home Care Worker, you will be delivering home-based support services for people living with HIV who need assistance to continue living independently in the community. The focus is on engaging clients and enabling them to develop their own skills and capacity.
You will also be working with people in the LGBTIQ+ community who have an aged care package or are participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and need help at home or assistance with community participation.
Role responsibilities include:
The role requires attendance at regular supervision sessions with support staff and training sessions as required.
In addition to a pay rate at SCHADS Award/SACS Home Care Level 3 + 25% casual loading + superannuation, you’ll also be able to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits as well as accessing professional and career development.
We’re looking for a warm and empathic, community-minded support worker, who is able to work both independently and as part of a team.
