Thorne Harbour Health, Victoria’s largest LGBTIQ+ community-controlled health service, is expanding our AOD Counselling team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and skilled multi-disciplinary AOD team, working to support members of the LGBTIQ+ community. This role will actively dismantle barriers to service access through providing accessible interventions to members of the LGBTIQ+ community in the south eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne.

The AOD Counsellor role sits within the wider Therapeutic Services and Capacity Building team, and works to create positive behavioural change through the delivery of evidence-based therapeutic individual counselling, therapeutic group programs and brief intervention sessions. The role delivers queer affirmative support through holistic and evidence-based LGBTIQ+ group, individual and family focused services.
