Think Psychologists is a highly regarded paediatric clinic, providing a broad range of therapeutic and assessment services to children, young adults and their families.
We are currently seeking staff whose values align with ours:
We seek an empathetic and engaging Psychologist/Provisional Psychologist with a strong desire to support children, adolescents and young adults in relation to social, emotional, behavioural and learning concerns. The position is available as a full time or part-time role. Experienced therapists and new graduates with full/provisional registration are welcomed, supported and encouraged to apply.
At Think Psychologists we understand that each person is unique, and we embrace every child, young person, family, and clinician/practitioner by acknowledging and valuing their unique differences, strengths, and individual needs. We are committed to providing an authentic, compassionate, and nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of our team and the children and young people we care for.
At Think Psychologists you will be working within a well-established private practice that values connection, authenticity, and collaboration and seeks to support your personal and professional wellbeing. At Think Psychologists you can expect to be supported in your practice, your development as a practitioner and your journey as a person practicing psychology.
Dr. Nicole Carvill is passionate about developing a mentoring relationship with each clinician within the team. Assisting clinicians to develop their skills, maintaining their own well-being and ensure they feel supported and valued is at the core of Nicole’s practice. She has worked with a range clinicians at varying stages of their careers and strives to be attuned to the needs of each clinician. Nicole seeks to develop long-term, collaborative mentoring relationships that are supportive and sustainable from emotional and professional perspectives and is always available to provide support and guidance whenever needed.
We know that working as a psychologist can sometimes feel isolating, particularly when working in environments that prioritise high caseloads and offer limited opportunities for peer interaction. We recognise that feeling disconnected from others in our workplace, results in us feeling lonely and isolated and negatively impacts many areas of our wellbeing. At Think Psychologists, we intentionally design the workday to allow the time for quality peer interaction, because we believe that our well-being within the workplace is critical.
We offer a supportive and autonomous working environment, that allows you flexibility in developing a work environment that is supportive to you as an individual clinician. We offer flexibility in your caseload, including clinical presentations, the structure of your workdays and the ability to preference assessments or therapeutic focussed work. We also provide flexible working arrangements that prioritise a healthy work-life balance and seek to actively accommodate the diverse needs of each clinician.
We have a dedicated and compassionate administration team that provide ongoing support to our clients and clinicians. The administration team work consistently to manage the administrative needs of the clinic, our clients and psychologists to allow you to focus on your clinical work and to provide more time for you to continue to develop and enjoy your practice.
We provide professional development to our team at our quarterly in-house professional development events, that are tailored to the needs of the team and facilitated by clinicians and experts within the field. We also offer a generous professional development budget for each clinician to engage in professional development opportunities throughout each year, that align with your individual interests, need and areas of practice.
We offer a calm, comfortable and welcoming clinic that provides a sense of safety for our clients and clinicians. We encourage our clinicians to personalise their offices spaces to suit their own needs and the needs of their clients. We are always willing to make accommodations to meet the individual and diverse needs of our clinicians.
We offer a collaborative and supportive team environment that acknowledges the contribution and efforts of each clinician. We share our location and passions with Interact Speech Pathology and Katie Stokes Occupational Therapy and frequently facilitate opportunities for both professional and social collaboration between all clinicians. We actively encourage collaboration between our psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and allied health clinicians.
Experienced therapists and new graduates with registration are encouraged to apply.
