Remuneration: $76,793 to $85,647 plus superannuation depending on experience (pro-rata)

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Consultant will support the Alinea consulting team on projects, providing inputs and learning from Senior Consultants in the company. The Associate Consultant works closely with a small team of senior consultants on drafting, analysis, and providing general support to existing contract. This role also encompasses support business development, which will consume approximately 40% of the roles time.

• Consulting work under supervision:
  • Providing analysis and data processing;
  • Drafting reports;
  • Meeting with clients and stakeholders; and
  • Applying lessons and knowledge to projects.
• Business Development:
  • Scoping for opportunities advertised publicly;
  • Drafting responses to selection criteria;
  • Developing price proposals for consulting opportunities;
  • Proof reading submissions and checking financial information; and
  • Collating and coordinating past experience statements.
• Other duties as required from time-to-time.

Qualifications and Experience:

Mandatory:

Either:

• Advanced university degree (Masters) in social sciences, international development or related discipline, or equivalent, and a minimum of one years’ experience working in international aid and development; or
• University degree in social sciences, international development or related discipline, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years’ experience working in international aid and development

And:

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian aid program in Asia and the Pacific
• Knowledge and experience of program design, program review, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Self-driven with a good sense of judgement and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and balance competing priorities.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel overseas (duration and frequency is negotiable).
