The Shepherd Centre (TSC) is a highly regarded not-for-profit, providing specialised programs for children with hearing loss and their families. Our programs meet the needs of children of all ages; from our world-leading early intervention program for babies and toddlers, through to our mentoring program ‘Hear for You’ for school-aged children and teenagers. We have been empowering generations of children with hearing loss to listen, speak and have a voice for over 50 years, creating a world of choice and amplifying possibility.

TSC currently supports over 900 families all over Australia, providing in-person and online support from 10 locations across NSW, ACT, Queensland and Tasmania. Our global platform HearHub, supports health professionals working with children with hearing loss all over the world.

About the Role

As we continue to grow and expand our services to more children and families, we have a number of exciting projects happening right across the organisation.

The Key Supporter Manager role generates income across both the Gifts in Wills and Mid-Value Donor programs. This role oversees the development and implementation of innovative and multi-channel strategies that focus on nurturing relationships with gifts in Wills prospects and mid-value donors amongst our current donor base and new supporters. The role will develop mutually beneficial relationships with these donors and achieve the fundraising targets as set by the fundraising strategy. The role will move gifts in Wills prospects to confirmed status, as well as stewarding mid-value donors to move them to major gifts and gifts in Wills programs.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Building and maintaining relationships with confirmed and prospective gifts in Wills and mid-value donors
• Producing and delivering engaging content, to promote gifts in Wills to existing donors and non-donors
• Maintaining individualised stewardship programs for gifts in Wills donors and mid-value donors
• Monthly tracking of gift in Wills and mid-value program activities
• Developing and maintaining In Memory fundraising initiatives
• Planning and executing mid-value stewardship events
• Liaising with estate management provider
• Providing regular updates on program performance
• Managing income and expense budgets and reforecast if required
• Ensuring ongoing data hygiene improvements

About You

The successful candidate for this role will ideally have:

• At least 3 years' experience in Fundraising
• Previous experience in gifts in Wills and/or mid-value donors
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Well-developed spoken, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Willingness to obtain a Working with Children and NDIS Worker Check, and obtain full vaccination for COVID-19 (2 doses)
• Full working rights to work in Australia
