The Australia Awards in Timor-Leste (AATL) is managed by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and is administered by Palladium.
Australia Awards are provided to build the skills and knowledge of individuals so that they can contribute to their country's development, and to support the ongoing development of links between Australia and the countries to which it provides aid.
The Australia Awards are an important part of the Australian Government's focus on public and economic diplomacy, and provide long term Scholarships, Short Course Awards and other training opportunities.
The Team Leader (TL) is responsible for the delivery of quality services, including strategic and annual planning, high level stakeholder engagement, and management and leadership of a program team of Short-Term Advisers and national staff.
The TL works in close consultation with DFAT Dili Post and other key stakeholders, including other Australian Government departments, alumni, Australian universities, private sector organisations and associations, and civil society actors, to drive progress of Australia Awards Timor Leste against the Australia Awards Global Strategic Framework and Australia Awards Global Monitoring and Evaluation Framework towards end-of-program outcomes. The TL also works to enhance the Australia Awards’ prestigious reputation in Timor Leste.
The role is based in Dili, Timor-Leste on a full-time basis.
