Who we are

The Brain Cancer Group Ltd is a brain cancer charity that is focussed on raising funds to deliver Research, Education and Support programs for patients, carers and researchers. The charity (formerly SNOG) was established in year 2000 out of a passion for improving the care and outcomes for brain cancer patients by neuro-surgeons Dr Raymond Cook and Dr Michael Biggs.

TBCG has always been at the forefront of funding impactful neurooncology programs/services. We were the first in Australia to fund a full time dedicated neurooncology nurse coordinator that has assisted more than 1000 patients and their families. Our latest initiatives include an Australasian first Brain Imaging Laboratory and the TBCG Databank, a comprehensive database that links pathological findings, imaging and treatment outcomes.

We also work closely with other organisations to advocate and raise awareness for more government funding to support brain cancer patients and carers.
