The Australia Institute is seeking a Content Producer to produce high quality creative material (online, print, press) which clearly and effectively communicates and promotes our research.

The role requires someone with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and most importantly, the passion and commitment to making a difference.

About the role

The successful applicant will be required to produce and execute engaging creative material which clearly and effectively communicates and promotes Australia Institute research. In this role you will:

  • Edit and produce short-form videos for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, BlueSky and Facebook.
  • Convert video and audio clips (including from news interviews on TV and radio, podcasts, webinars) into engaging social media content.
  • Design and format social media tiles using media content.
  • Optimise videos and graphics for each platform.
  • Manage and organise media assets for easy access and re-use.
  • Create digital assets for podcasts.

About You

We are seeking a passionate communications professional who has:

  • Highly developed communication skills including writing and visual. communication skills for online, print and press environments.
  • The ability to create visual content with minimal direction.
  • The ability to ensure the accuracy of information across a number of different projects on any given day.
  • A high level of initiative and a demonstrated ability to solve problems.
  • Tertiary qualification in visual communication, graphic design, animation, film or media production, or similar.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or equivalent editing software.

The position is full time, on a twelve-month contract, with the possibility for renewal. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
