ABOUT THE GROUP:

The ASE Group is a community-led and purpose driven business for good that delivers education, entrepreneurship and employment programs to Australians of all ages. Our mission is to equip every Australian with the skills, resources and mindset they need to start a business or enter the workforce, regardless of their postcode.

Our Group includes a couple of cool initiatives:

• Australian School of Entrepreneurship. We deliver skills based entrepreneurship and life skills programs in the form of workshops (face-to-face and virtual), online education and events to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in young people.
• Australian School of Employment. Alongside Government and the Private Sector, we deliver innovative self-employment and employment programs to help Australians authentically contribute to their local communities through meaningful work opportunities or business.

We're now looking for a Program Officer/ Mentor (4 or 5 days per week) to help mentor and support program participants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mentoring + Delivery - 80%. Facilitate and deliver mentoring sessions face-to-face at our Brisbane City Campus and Moreton Bay Campus and online via Microsoft Teams. Support young participants and mature aged participants with their business questions and provide support, mentoring and feedback to participants. In particular, helping participants complete their business plans.
• Program Partnerships - 20%. We want someone to come in with fresh eyes and help us over-deliver on new and existing programs. Such programs include self-employment programs, conferences, school workshops, school holiday programs, online education initiatives and alumni engagement activities. This will include finding new participants for the program and onboarding them into the program.

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

• You are (very) comfortable with change. We need someone who is super adaptable - you can facilitate a local workshop one day, help organise a conference in the office the next and deliver a presentation interstate the day after.
• You are an expert communicator and engaging in your mentoring/ facilitation style. You are confident in your ability to facilitate and mentor in small group settings.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 including super for a full time staff member depending on experience (we're open to a 4 day per week arrangement)
